Lake Hébert
The ultimate walleye fishing experience by floatplane
Located in the southern part of the Eeyou Istchee Baie-James territory, Lake Hébert is our exclusive area known for producing exceptional quality and quantity of walleye. Accessible only by seaplane, it’s a 45-minute flight from our Clova base that takes you to the best walleye fishing lake in Quebec. Lake Hébert is every angler’s dream, nothing less!
Lake Hébert is a true “walleye factory.” Several factors allow this abundance, including the water color, the very varied and rugged depths, the excellent supply of oxygenated water, the quantity of prey, and the quality of the spawning grounds. Our fishing management promoting the release of breeding fish also contributes to making Lake Hébert a superior-quality lake for walleye fishing.

Fishing regulations
Air Tamarac holds exclusive fishing rights on Lake Hébert. We are extremely proud to manage this body of water and enforce fishing regulations on Lac Hébert that reflect our wildlife goals. Lake Hébert is a trophy lake for walleye and pike fishing, and we are committed to preserving it.
- To maintain our exceptional fishing quality for future generations, the following limits must be respected: 4 walleye and 4 pike per person. Walleye kept must measure between 37 and 53 cm (14.5 to 21 inches) and the 4 pike must measure between 50 and 70 cm (20 to 28 inches). All trophy pike and walleye must be released back into the water.
- The walleye kept must be transported whole or in wallet-type fillets. For further details, please consult the Ministry‘s website.
- The Government of Canada requires all boaters resident in Canada to hold a boating license. Fines can be as high as $250 for those caught in violation. We recommend that you take your test online before coming to the outfitter.
