The 5 km long Lake Sauterelle provides access, via various well-maintained trails, to 10 more lakes where boats and motors are waiting for you. Allowing you to enjoy some of the best-preserved native brook trout fishing in Quebec!


Equipment
For speckled trout fishing on Lake Sauterelle, we offer you Princecraft Yukon 15 aluminum boats. These are equipped with 8 HP 4-stroke Mercury outboard motors. All our boats are ready for you with swivel seats, fishing nets and life jackets. The expedition lakes are also equipped with boats and motors for your day hike excursions.

Things to bring
Air Tamarac packages are European plan type. This means you need to bring your own food and personal belongings. You must also get:
- Fishing license (available at our office)
- Fishing equipment and bait
- Sleeping bag, pillows, towels, dishcloths, etc.;
- In addition to your sleeping bag, bring a single fitted sheet to put on your mattress (for couples, a Queen fitted sheet covers both mattresses);
- Paper towels, napkins and toilet paper;
- Tamarac hat, sunscreen and sunglasses;
- Rain gear, boots and warm clothing;
- Mosquito repellent (netting, coil, and thermacell recommended between June 15 and July 15);
- Fillet knife and sharpening stone;
- Garbage bags, Ziploc, plastic wrap;
- Salt, pepper, sugar, condiments, etc.;
- Soap, dish soap and cleaning products to keep you and your cottage clean until the end;
- Note: A 24-can case of beer weighs 17 pounds less than the bottle version (18 lbs instead of 35 lbs).

Package
An experienced caretaker is on-site to look after every detail and guide you to the most productive fishing spots. At Air Tamarac, we offer personalized services throughout your fishing trip. Our goal is to provide you with a remarkable and memorable experience, whether it’s for brook trout fishing or for your stay in fishing cabins. Departing from our base in Ste-Anne-du-Lac, here’s what’s included in the Lake Sauterelle package:
- Round-trip seaplane transport from Ste-Anne-du-lac
- Fully equipped cabin
- 1 boat for 2 fishermen, groups of 3 fish in one boat. They can rent a second boat at a cost of $40/day
- Unlimited gas/Topographic map with the best fishing spots marked
- Satellite communication available in case of emergency
- Caretaker on site to offer personalized services
To help you avoid exceeding the 110-pound luggage limit per person aboard the seaplane while still allowing you to bring what you need, we offer to deliver your beer to your cabin before your arrival. We offer this service at reasonable fees.

Fishing regulations
Air Tamarac holds the exclusive rights to speckled trout fishing on Lake Sauterelle and the dozen or so other lakes surrounding it. We are proud to manage these waters and are equally proud to offer you the best preserved quality for brook trout fishing in Quebec.
- The number of speckled trout per person is limited to 10 in your possession, including a maximum of 5 trout on all expedition lakes. Chenet Lake is a catch-and-release lake (no consumption) for walleye.
- The Government of Canada requires that all Canadian resident boaters hold a boat license. Fines of up to $250 can be imposed for those caught in default. Take your exam online before coming up.
