Gouin Réservoir
Floatplane to the inaccessible Gouin Reservoir!
After a 15-minute floatplane ride from Clova, or 60 minutes from Ste-Anne-du-Lac, you’ll find yourself on the western side of the Gouin Reservoir, in the heart of walleye and monster pike country. The fishing success here is astounding! Accessible by floatplane, Réservoir Gouin will quench your thirst for adventure with its wilderness isolation and abundance of fish. All of which will put a smile on the face of the angler in you.
Our Gouin Reservoir sectors offer an abundance of walleye and northern pike. Of course, you’ll also discover catch-and-release sport fishing! We encourage this practice. Our sites offer a variety of structures and depths to accommodate walleye anglers throughout the season. But for a memorable battle with pike, come and fish your “freshwater shark” at the Gouin Reservoir at the beginning or end of the season. Your fishing success will be SPECTACULAR!

Fishing regulations
Gouin Reservoir is a Community Wildlife Area (CWA). Fishing limits are 8 walleye and 10 pike per regular license. A size range of 32 to 47 centimeters (13 to 18.5 inches) is applied for walleye throughout the lake. Retained walleye must be transported whole (with or without the head, provided the pectoral fin is retained) or in fillets cut in a “wallet” shape.
For complete information on fishing regulations at Gouin Reservoir, consult the “Aide-mémoire” available on the AFC Gouin website.
- For more information on transporting fish, please visit the AFC Gouin website.
- We strongly encourage catch-and-release sport fishing. We therefore suggest keeping only pike between 50 and 70 cm (20 and 28 inches).
- The fees payable to the Aire faunique communautaire du Réservoir Gouin for pike and walleye fishing on the Gouin are $8 per day, $32 for 5 days, $44 for 7 days or $80 for the annual pass. Catch-and-release fishing rights are $4 per day. Children 17 and under do not need a Gouin fishing licence if they are fishing under a parent’s Quebec licence.
- You’ll be able to observe the presence of wildlife conservation assistants on the water. They will ensure that fishing regulations are respected.
- These fishing rights are on sale with us, just like Quebec fishing licenses.
- The Canadian government requires all boaters resident in Canada to hold a boating license. Failure to do so can result in fines of up to $250. We recommend that you take your exam online at the following site before coming to the outfitter. (link to external site)
