If you can\u2019t find what you are looking for, please contact us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Should I bring my boat seat, fishing net, and life jacket?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Gouin Reservoir: you must bring a boat seat (foldable types are recommended), landing net, and life jacket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lakes H\u00e9bert\/Charlotte\/Ang\u00e8le\/Sauterelle: boat seats, fishing nets, and life jackets are provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the running water in the cabins safe to drink?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The running water in the cabins is not safe to drink. Please note that we use the running water for cooking (boiling potatoes, pasta, vegetables, and making coffee).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lakes H\u00e9bert\/Sauterelle: drinking water is provided on-site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gouin Reservoir\/Lake Charlotte\/Lake Ang\u00e8le: Drinking water is not provided. You must bring it with you or order it in advance from us. Dead minnows are also prohibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do I need a boating license to go fishing?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For Canadian residents, it is mandatory for the driver to have a boating license. Use half on a jig or a full worm with the bottom bouncer technique (walker)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monofilament from 6 to 10 lbs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jigs: 1\/4 ounce lead head (or 3\/8 used in July, August and September for the depths) in different colors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plastic tails (mister twister style) in assorted colors of 3 inches (and more for 3\/8 ounce heads); The best colors are: yellow, white, black, chartreuse, orange and purple; also bring tiny jigs for times when the walleye are more finicky; Berkley salted Powers minnows are excellent choices for tails (blue and silver color)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crankbait: Shad raps, Thin fins (blue), perch rapalas, Hot&#8217;n Tot, etc. for those who like to troll. Also Deep thunderstick, wally diver, Frenzy, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Northern Pike<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In spring and late season: Daredevil spoons (Yellow-five of-diamond) and the classic red and white, Blue Fox Aqua spoon or Len Thompson spoons. In cold water, the Blueback Herring Swimbait is excellent, as well as Spinner baits and straight shaft spinners such as the Panther Martin, Blue Fox and Mepps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During the summer, pike will also attack jigs (especially double tails), Rapalas and Thunderstick because they feed mainly on walleyes and will then be around schools of walleyes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Brook Trout<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When casting (medium or light action) you can use the following spoons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cMeps Aglia\u201d no2 red and white or no3 rainbow color<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cSutton West River\u201d chrome and copper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWilliams Wobbler\u201d gold or silver\/gold \u2014 \u201cBlue Fox Vibrax\u201d small size for shallow water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cBob-it\u201d red beads, silver and gold blades with a worm<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cRapala\u201d silver no7<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cDelphin Alligator\u201d gold with red band<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For fly fishing, these artificial flies give excellent results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Muddler minnow, delta, dy fly and nymphs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget your earthworms; about fifteen per person, per sheet to put on your mattress;<br>\u2014 Paper towels, napkins and toilet paper;<br>\u2014 Most popular weapons: caliber 30-06, 270, 300 or magnum;<br>\u2014 Fluorescent orange bib;<br>\u2014 Appropriate clothing according to the season;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u2014 Equipment for gutting and packaging
